Thank you for your interest in joining our Legacy Society with planned giving at BENCHS. Your decision to include BENCHS in your estate shows your sincere commitment to animals and your desire for your legacy of love to continue for years to come. Estate gifts, commonly called “planned gifts,” include bequests, securities, life insurance, retirement accounts and more. You can name the Blue Earth Nicollet County Humane Society as a beneficiary by creating a new will, adding a codicil to your present will, or including BENCHS in your revocable trust.

AGENCY FUNDS AT OUR COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

The Blue Earth Nicollet County Humane Society (BENCHS) has partnered with the Mankato Area Foundation (MAF) to establish an Agency Investment Fund, a long-term fund held and managed by the Foundation on behalf of a nonprofit organization. Agency Funds provide a way for nonprofit organizations to support their ongoing operations.

Through this partnership, the Foundation pools and invests BENCHS’ assets with those of the Foundation, thereby providing responsible and professional management. The investments are managed by MAF’s experienced Investment Committee as well as their current Pooled Funds Manager. Funds are combined into professionally managed portfolios, allowing greater diversification of investments and access to investment vehicles that would not be possible for individual funds.

BENCHS began our Agency Fund in 2018 with the purpose of growing our assets to cover major projects in the future.

Individual donors are also able to contribute to the BENCHS Agency Fund, allowing them to help BENCHS continue serving needy animals from the Greater Mankato Area in a meaningful way.
