Do you have a matching employer?
Matching Donations Program
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs to match their employees’ charitable contributions. Here’s an example of a matching gift. Let’s say you work for Business X and donate $100 to BENCHS. Business X’s matching gift policy has a minimum gift requirement of $25 and matches at a 1:1 ratio. After you submit your matching gift form, Business X will double your donation by also writing a check for $100.
The donor is the one to initiate the matching gift. First find out from your employer’s Human Resources office if your they have a matching gifts program. Complete the paperwork provided by your employer. Make your donation, being sure to save your receipt. Submit the matching gift request to BENCHS.
What a quick and easy way to double your contribution!
Volunteer Matching Program
Volunteer matching programs are corporate giving programs in which companies provide monetary donations to organizations where employees volunteer regularly. For example: If you volunteered your time as a Dog Enrichment Program volunteer, your employer may donate cash for your volunteer time.
Each company has specific guidelines for their volunteer matching programs. You can always contact your company’s Human Resources department for more information.
If you volunteer with us, it’s an easy way to provide us with additional financial support!
